San Francisco is rich in terms of its tourist spots. I was surprised seeing quite a population of tourists taking pictures with me. The weather was perfect at 17degrees celcius and the transportation system is very convenient as well.

I love being in this part of the world because I grew up in a country where "American Orientation" is strictly acknowledged. America is where I could relate the most and I could comprehend with the people I talk to everywhere I go. But I am one of those who doesn't have that "American Dream", AIthough I would loved to be there once in a while, do not have (and never had) any intentions of living in the U.S for good.

Went to Fisherman's Wharf in Pier 39 and the famous Lombard Street...

I spent the last 2 days in bed reading. I cannot believe I am halfway done my book. The downside of finding a good book is that I get too attached to it, to the point that I forget everything else exists.

Brought nephew, Yuan and niece, Zia for a quick swim in Tagaytay.
Stayed up late drinking with the rest of the gang...
Drove back to Manila just in time for lunch on a sunday.

Venice, Italy

To be in a land where being mushy and romantic is normal, I feel that I belong... If only I haven't met my husband, I would think that I am destined to marry a good looking Italian.
(Hahaha! Kidding :)

Italy is one of my favourite places... (undeniably!) and Venice is one of my favourite cities... It is like being in a completely different world.

First time flying to LA, spent time with cousins whom I haven't seen for ages! Had the grandest time with the kids, overshopped, drove around Beverly Hills and was ecstatic strolling around Rodeo Drive at night!

Thanks Ate Sha and Kuya Bob for showing me around.
I'll be back for my vacation next time!

Again, there are a lot of great things to be thankful for... September has been one of the most stressful and fulfilling months in my entire flying career.

I flew home for my hubbs' birthday and since he has a week break from work (since his latest "teleserye" just ended), we flew back to Dubai together!!

I passed my First Class Promotional Training with flying colors! I could say that I've done   so much better compared to my Business Class upgrade 3.5 years ago!!!

plus, despite of the fact that I hardly had time studying for my Safety and Emergency Training, I am so proud for being able to pass all my written and practical exams!! ( and I did my recurrent with my good friend, Mary which made everything better).

So, my flying license has been renewed and I have the right to go back to reading, do yoga and be fit again...

See you again next year, training college!  Yahooooo!

You'll know that you have been a good girlfriend to your ex-boyfriend(s) is when despite of the fact that the relationship has ended, the mother(s) or your ex's sibling(s) still keeps in touch with you...

If you will ask me about a single important thing that I'm so desperate to do, I'd say:

To meet Paulo Coelho in person. You see, i've never been a real desperate fan of someone until I got to read all his published works to date.

When I first came to Dubai, my flatmate was one of the lucky few who got the chance to meet him for a book signing. I wasnt that interested then, perhaps because I did not know him and his works that much yet. But as I read his books, reflect over his updates in facebook and his official site, I just feel that I cannot let pass this lifetime to meet such an intellectual earthling that he is.

I would have to meet him soon. One day, I know. SOON.

  • I'm so wrapped up for Bohol!! - I'm looking forward to some genuine R&R for my birthday this year. I think i'm so over Boracay since I couldnt feel the Island's "exoticity" anymore. It is like flying to another Manila with the beach.
  • I still couldnt finish my Birthday Wishlist! - I just cannot! Free time is sleeping time nowadays.
  • Looking forward for my best friend (who works for Vodaphone in Qatar) to visit me in Dubai. We havent seen each other for the last 2 years, we have a lot of catching up to do!
  • I feel bad for my country who's desperately praying for rain!
  • I'm happy for being able to start brisk walking and running little by little. I take one day at a time. I just cannot run for like 15-30 mins straight since I have a weak heart thus I get extreme migraine (my term for super-duper-mega-unbearable headaches) afterwards.
  • I'm married for almost a year now. How time flies! Believe me, It hasn't sank in! I call my husband my "lifelong boyfriend". I have no fear in turning a year older (soon) because I'm looking forward to growing old with someone.
  • I'm looking forward to flying to New York, 15th of March! Oh my! I would call my bank and tell them to block my card on that day! I'm sure I can never resist spending! (2010 should be a year of quality shopping!).
  • I'm in dilemma now. My company has opened a supervisory position after a long time (with the recession and everything). Its been a long time since I had my last promotion, i'm so senior in my grade and I need a career boost and I feel that I'm ready but few factors are pushing me to weigh things now. Though I dont mind staying in my current grade (I extremely love it here and I have nothing to lose), I just feel that I have to move to a more challenging spot. What do you think?

It's raining here in Dubai. Been based here for the last 4.5 years and this is just the 3rd time I'm witnessing a pour. A good sign, perhaps.

Goodnight Everyone!

It was my first time visiting this part of Australia, though the flight time almost stopped me from going, I made sure not to let pass the chance of seeing creatures that I would only see in this country.

Good thing I did. It was truly an amazing experience... Afterwards, I spent so much buying Tim Tams:)

If I could just bring my nephew, Yuan along... I'm so sure he'd enjoy it too.

I was there for a flight, he flew there to be with me...

It was a short 3 days stay but we sure had a blast. We took the train to get around the city... Quite exhausting yet so worth it!

Incidentally, It was also the Grand Formula 1 night... Everyone was out to party! We had a super great time!
